There is a lot of uncertainty around when we will be returning to normal after lockdown, and when that end may be.
As it stands at the time of writing, the lockdown is due to end at midnight 30 April 2020. This may or may not be extended. Regardless, the removal of lockdown is very likely to be a staged affair with various sectors being reintroduced in a phased approach.
The obvious question is: “When do we go back to the ice rink?”
While our place in this is uncertain and we do not know what restrictions will be applied, we do believe that it may be a little while yet before we get back into the full swing of things, as far as skating is concerned.
We have been informed by the Ice Station management that they are in contact with the landlords (Sun International) and will be reviewing any and all restrictions that may apply to the ice rink once the lockdown has been lifted.
When they have a clear understanding of what is required from them, they will communicate this to us and we will be able to advise our members accordingly.
We ask that you remain patient in these trying times as there is much that is unknown. Until then, please stay home and stay safe!
