WORLD ANTI-DOPING AGENCY (WADA) PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES AND METHODS LIST 2020

The International Skating Union (ISU) has advised member countries of the newly published list of WADA prohibited substances for 2020

It is vital that all athletes competing at all levels of competition are aware of these requirements and restrictions as random testing is possible at any event (local and international) with a policy of zero tolerance.

Please study the list to ensure that any medication currently being required is not on it. Please check with your doctor or dispensing pharmacy if you are unsure.

Any substances present in medication or treatment that are listed on the WADA database need to be declared by way of a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) form. This can be obtained HERE (SAIDSA). Please complete this form and provide SAFSA with a copy as well as any supporting documentation or motivation from a healthcare professional.

If you are in any doubt, please contact SAFSA or the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDSA)
