MOST VALUED SKATER CLIP CARD (MVS CARD)

The Cape Peninsula Ice Skating Club has made the Most Valued Skater (MVS) clip card available to all current members of Western Province Associations, Clubs or Federations. In order to make use of the MVS card, the skater must have their own skates.

The MVS card may be purchased at the Skate Shop, please produce your membership letter or your SAFSA WP membership number when purchasing the MVS card.

The cost of the MVS Clip Card is, and is only valid for three months from date of purchase:

• R250 for 5 clips or

• R500 for 10 clips

REQUIREMENTS GOVERNING THE MVS CARD

  1. Your name and membership number is to appear on your MVS card
  2. Your MVS card is not transferable
  3. You may not allow other skaters and your friends to be clipped on your MVS card
  4. The MVS card may be used for public sessions
  5. The MVS card may not be used for late night public sessions
  6. The MVS card does not entitle you to rent skates
  7. The MVS card is available to purchase from the Skate Shop
  8. Special arrangements may be made with the Skate Shop to do EFT payments

THE MVS CARD COVERS THE FOLLOWING SESSIONS FOR SAFSA WP MEMBERS

Kindly ensure that the front desk has clipped your card for the required number of sessions that you will be skating on that day. Random spot checks may be carried out by the Rink Management and penalties will be issued to those skaters who are not paying for the sessions that they are skating.

Please note that each of these sessions counts as one clip on your MVS card:

  • SAFSA WP PATCH 1: 5.30am to 7.30am (1 clip)
  • SAFSA WP PATCH 2: 7.30am to 10.00am (1 clip)
  • PUBLIC PATCH 1: 10.00am to 12.00pm (1 clip)
  • SAFSA WP SENIOR PATCH: 12.30pm to 2.00pm (1 clip)
  • PUBLIC PATCH 2: 2.00pm to 4.00pm (1 clip)
  • SAFSA WP PATCH 3: 4.00PM to 6.00pm (1 clip)

An example: if you are practicing, skating or having a lesson on:

  1. The evening patch your MVS card must only be clipped once
  2. The public patch and the evening patch your MVS card must be clipped twice
  3. The first and second morning patch your MVS card must be clipped twice
  4. The first and second morning patch and the senior patch your card must be clipped three times

IMPORTANT NOTICE

If you are a SAFSA WP member, who is not in good standing, you will not be entitled to use the MVS clip card or SAFSA WP sessions, until all fees and dues are settled.

This policy may be reviewed, amended and/or updated by the SAFSA WP Committee to align with the regulations and requirements by the Cape Peninsula Ice Skating Club.
